Spring Break Update: Part 4

It has been an incredible Spring Break... one of the best ever in my book. Friday morning we spent some more time with Nana and Pop, eating Pop's delicious blueberry pancakes and sausage. We even managed to squeeze in one more delicious seafood meal before we left; another trip to The Wreck for fish and chips for lunch. De-lish!

After lunch, we packed up our bags, our baby and our puppy and made our way to Florence to see Jason's family and celebrate Granddaddy's 60th birthday. Grammie surprised him with a party at Retta and Kim's, and he was actually surprised, which was great! It's so hard to believe that our parents are 60 years old... or close to it. I remember the days when I thought 30... 40... 50 were all close to death. Now it seems like 60 is still pretty young and hip. We are so blessed to both have parents who are so healthy and active! Betsy already loves spending time with them, and we love watching them interact and play together, and that will only get sweeter as the days and years go by. It was great to have the opportunity to spend time with all four grandparents during this week; it definitely makes me wish that we could travel and visit all the time.
