sweet beginnings

i've had the itch to write lately, so i thought i'd try blogging.  and i figure if i post pictures of our little girl, i might maintain an audience despite my ramblings.  :)

which leads me to the arrival of our precious daughter, betsy.

why in the world the Lord would choose to entrust me with such an amazing little life, i am beyond clueless.  most days, i feel unsure, uncertain and desperately unqualified for the task.  my mom suggested that we're given these moments to remind us of how we should live our lives all of the time ... helpless, humble and totally dependent on God's grace and strength to get us through.  oh, to truly learn that lesson!

and thus begins my blogging adventure.  not an epic start ... but maybe enough to whet your appetite.
